Pasritamig Plus Chemotherapy Shows Promising Results for Advanced Prostate Cancer

A new Phase 1b study shows that combining the novel T-cell therapy pasritamig with docetaxel produces high response rates in patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).

Patients receiving the combination saw PSA reductions far exceeding typical results with chemotherapy alone. About 65% achieved a 50% drop in PSA levels, and rates rose to 88% in patients with bone-only metastases. Nearly 40% of all patients reached a 90% PSA reduction, with bone-only cases hitting 76%.

Importantly, the therapy was well-tolerated, with no severe cytokine release syndrome and minimal added bone marrow toxicity. This makes pasritamig a promising candidate to pair safely with chemotherapy.

Following these results, the treatment is moving into a Phase 3 trial to see if it can extend response duration and improve progression-free survival compared to docetaxel alone. This combination could offer a more effective and durable option for mCRPC patients.
